Meet our Faith Family

  

 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
     and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord;
           and there are varieties of activities,
                but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.
To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom,
     and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
         to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
               to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits,
                   to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
All these are activated by one and the same Spirit, 
      who allots to each one individually as the Spirit chooses.

Our Leadership 
 



Pastor Gary Eldred

Having been born and raised in north central Pennsylvania, Pastor Gary Eldred graduated from Penn State University in 1972. For seven years he served with Campus Crusade for Christ doing personal evangelism and discipleship training at three different colleges. During this time, Pastor Gary met fellow Campus Crusade minister Sherry Willetts and they married in 1976. In 1979, he accepted a position with the Brethren in Christ Church and served in pastorates in Pennsylvania and Florida.

 

Moving to the Atlanta, GA area in 1988, Pastor Gary attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, while serving two rural United Methodist churches. Graduating in 1992, he entered the ordained ministry and returned to Florida where he has pastored in Citra, Lochloosa, Sparr, Ocklawaha and High Springs before coming to Faith Church in July 2008.

 

Pastor Gary and Sherry, a teacher, have two children, Elizabeth and Philip. Elizabeth is married to James Dykes, and they have a son, Matthew.

  

  

 
Glenn Rasmussen
Glenn Rasmussen was born in Dembi Dollo, Ethiopia. He is the son of retired medical missionaries and holds a Certificate in Piano Performance from The Peabody Conservatory (Johns Hopkins, 1974) and Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Juilliard School (1980). For 30 years Glenn has pursued his love of music by combining performing, teaching, tuning, conducting, accompanying and composing.
Glenn began his relationship with Faith Church in 2007 as accompanist for choir rehearsals and pianist during worship services. In August 2009 he assumed the position of Music Coordinator and now conducts the hand chimes as well as the choir.

He and his wife, Carol, have two children; Nicolas - a U.S.Marine with two tours of Iraq under his belt, and Lily - currently studying at SCF in Bradenton.
