Calendar of Events

To every thing there is a season,

   and a time for every purpose under heaven:

     A time to be born, and a time to die;

          a time to plant, and a time to reap that which is planted;

          A time to kill, and a time to heal;

               a time to break down, and a time to build up;

               A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

                   a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

                   A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

                        a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

                       A time to get, and a time to lose;

                           a time to keep, and a time to cast away;                    (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

Dan Schall Concert

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dan Schall will present a concert at Faith Church on Friday, March 5th, at 7:00 pm.
    Dan’s ministry started when he was in his teens, after accepting what Jesus Christ had done for him. Dan endured a severe speech impediment during his teen years. The anger and frustration controlled his life. It all was released one night by realizing and accepting that Jesus Christ died for all his trials and pain. Dan continues to stutter but God has blessed him with a singing voice that he has used for decades for the Glory of God. Dan’s music ministry enables him to share how God has touched his life. The music reaches out to others in a special way to show them the love that Jesus Christ has for them.
    For many years and thousands of miles Dan sang almost every weekend. In 2001, Dan resigned from his full time job of twenty-five years and went into full time ministry. Some might say that it was a step of faith, but Dan likes to say, “It was God’s time.” Now in full time ministry Dan is able to travel further from his home base. Much of Dan’s time is spent being with  ones who are hurting because of situations in their lives. In a hurting world, God uses a simple song and a listening ear.
    You can explore more of Dan Schall Ministries at his website above, www.DanSchall.org. On the site you are able to hear some of Dan’s music and read his testimony.
A free will offering will be collected with a suggested donation of $10.00.
Life Line Screening
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Faith United Methodist Church is again pleased to offer a preventive health event. Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will host their affordable, non-invasive, painless health screenings on Wednesday, March 31st, 2010.

Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to:

             blocked arteries, which is a leading cause of stroke;

             abdominal aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta;

             hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease;

             atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat, which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a

             bone density screening to assess the risk of osteoporosis.

If you, or someone you know, suffers from high cholesterol or high blood pressure; if you are or have been a smoker; have aching in your legs after a short walk; have suffered a broken bone in your hip or spine; or feel your are getting shorter; then you may want to seriously consider participating in this health screening event.

It only takes about 60-90 minutes to complete a health screening to make sure you are not a candidate for a stroke, heart attack, or other degenerative disease like osteoporosis. Coupons for this health screening event are available in the church office in the wall bin located next to the interior office door. Other financial aid may also be available.
